Monocle magazine did a global quality of life survey. Number one most liveable city in the world: Munich!
Now Monocle is run by Tyler Brulee and his gang, the very people who brought you Wallpaper*, the bible of 90s style dogma . I wasn't really sure I'd care much about a survey named after Giuliani's campaign held by a bunch of homosexuals with a taste for expensive furniture. But then they got me. One of their criterias is local media and there they say: "The city's main newspaper, Süddeutsche Zeitung, sells around 445,000 copies a day and is read nationally, and respected for its intelligent, liberal analysis." And there's also the paragraph talking about the general sense of quality starting with "the level of journalism in the city's main paper". Well, if you've mastered the art of flattery like this...
